The Fare 1 receipt itemises every component of your fare. Here's what each line means.

Standard lines

  • Base fare. The per-mile rate × distance, or the fixed-fare flat price for booked route.
  • Vehicle category. Pricing tier (Standard saloon / Executive MPV / etc.).
  • Airport surcharge. The drop-off or pickup fee airports charge — passed through (see airport surcharges).
  • Congestion charge. London congestion zone fee if your route includes it.
  • Toll. Dartford Crossing or other toll if applicable.

Discount lines (negative)

  • Volume discount. 15% off bookings over £250 — see volume and return discounts.
  • Return discount. 5% off the return leg if booked together.

Extras (if applicable)

  • Extra-stop charge. Added stops during the trip.
  • Waiting time charge. Beyond the included window (60 min airport / 15 min otherwise) at £20/hr pro-rated.
  • Route change. Re-quoted at per-mile if you changed destination mid-trip.
