We’re growing the Fare 1 driver network across the UK. If you’re a licensed PHV driver who wants fixed-price work with weekly Stripe payouts and a real dispatch team behind you, read on.

Trips come into your driver app with the fare already set. No metering, no roadside pricing arguments — you just drive.

Direct Stripe payouts.
Earnings settle to your bank via Stripe Connect. Payout cadence agreed at onboarding.

A real dispatch team.
When a passenger reaches out, a vehicle issue comes up, or a route changes mid-trip, there’s a human at the other end of the radio. Not voicemail.

UK-wide work.
We dispatch across the UK with Southampton as the hub. Airport, cruise, train, long-distance, and hourly chauffeur — the work mix is broader than local minicab.

Annual re-verification we own.
The compliance work that’s usually on you (DBS, DVLA, medical, MOT, insurance) we coordinate — annual reminders and tracked records so paperwork doesn’t lapse.

The bar.
These are the checks every Fare 1 driver passes — before the first trip, and again every year. We don’t take shortcuts on any of them.

On vehicles: we work with both owner-drivers and lease-to-own arrangements. The vehicle needs to meet Fare 1 spec for the category you want to drive — clean recent-model car for Standard, Mercedes / BMW / Volkswagen for Executive, accessible Caddy or equivalent for Accessible. We'll talk through what works for you on application.
How to apply
Three steps.

Email us.
Send a message to careers@fare1.co.uk with: your PHV licence number and issuing council, the vehicle you’d drive (or that you’d need an arrangement), and roughly when and where you’d want to work.

Document check.
We run the six vetting checks: DBS, DVLA endorsements, PHV licence with the council, Group 2 medical, vehicle MOT, and insurance. Takes about a week.
- 03
Onboarding.
Driver app setup, customer-service walk-through, vehicle-presentation review, and a buddy shift with an existing Fare 1 driver. Then you’re live.

Not a driver?
We don’t have a public list of open ops, customer-support, or engineering roles right now. Speculative applications welcome — we keep a list and revisit when something opens.
