Airport and cruise transfers in Fareham.

Fareham sits halfway along the M27 between Southampton and Portsmouth, which makes it one of the few Hampshire towns with a fast road to both. We pre-book and price every journey out of PO14–PO17 before the car moves.

From Fareham

The journeys we make from here.

Distances and times below are measured on the same routing engine that prices your booking, in typical traffic. They are what we plan to, not a promise about the road on the day — and because the price is agreed before you travel, a slow run costs you nothing extra.

Anywhere else in the UK is quoted the same way, on our published per-mile rate, fixed at the moment you book. The pre-set route prices cover our Southampton, Winchester and Basingstoke zones.

Local detail

What actually decides a Fareham journey.

The useful thing about Fareham for airport work is that it has two motorway options rather than one. Heathrow is 67 miles via the M27 east to the M3 at junction 11, or north on the A32 through Wickham and Droxford when the M27 is queuing at Junction 9 — the second is slower on paper and often faster in practice on a weekday morning. Gatwick is 69 miles the other way, M27 east then A27 and the A24 or the M23, and it is the one journey where leaving Fareham fifteen minutes earlier genuinely changes the arrival time.

Southampton's cruise terminals are 12 miles and a little over half an hour away, which puts Fareham closer to the docks than most of Southampton's own eastern suburbs once the Itchen Bridge is busy. On a two-ship Saturday we still time the pickup against the check-in window printed on your boarding pass rather than the sailing time, because the queue at Dock Gate 4 is what actually decides whether you are early.

Fareham is outside our Southampton fixed-fare zone, so journeys from here are quoted on the published per-mile rate rather than a pre-set route price. That is not a worse deal — it is the same rate sheet, and the quote is still locked at the moment you book. It just means the number comes from your actual postcode rather than a route table.

Where we pick up

PO14–PO17 and the villages around them.

  • Fareham town centre and the Westbury Manor end of the High Street
  • Fareham railway station and the bus interchange
  • Whiteley, Segensworth and Solent Business Park
  • Titchfield, Stubbington and Hill Head
  • Portchester, Funtley and Knowle

Pickups outside these areas are quoted the same way — the per-mile rate for your vehicle multiplied by the route, shown before you book.

The docks

All five Southampton cruise terminals.

The terminals are not interchangeable. Ocean and QEII sit behind Dock Gate 4 on the eastern docks, Mayflower and City behind Dock Gate 10 to the west, and arriving at the wrong gate on a two-ship Saturday costs half an hour. We confirm the terminal from your booking reference rather than the ship’s name, and time the pickup against the check-in window printed on your boarding pass.

Frequently asked

Quick answers.

  • No. There is no call-out fee and no minimum-distance surcharge for a Fareham pickup — the quote is the published per-mile rate applied to your journey, from your door. Fareham is outside the Southampton SO14–SO53 fixed-fare zone, so you are quoted per-mile rather than from the fixed-fare route table, and that quote is locked when you book.
  • Fareham is outside the Southampton SO14–SO53 fixed-fare zone, so journeys are quoted on our published per-mile rate from your postcode rather than from the fixed-fare route table. The quote is still locked at the moment you book.
  • For an airport or cruise run, as soon as you have the flight number or the sailing. For a local journey same-day is usually fine, but we are a pre-booked fleet rather than a rank — there is no guarantee of a car in ten minutes at three in the morning, and we would rather say so than take the booking and disappoint you.
  • We track the inbound flight from wherever it took off, so the pickup time moves with the aircraft rather than with the schedule you booked against. The first 60 minutes of waiting after landing is included — enough for a full-flight baggage reclaim — and you are not charged for a delay that is not yours.
  • Yes. Airport drop-off charges, congestion and ULEZ where they apply are shown as their own lines on the booking form so you can see what is a fee and what is fare. Nothing is added after the journey: no meter, no day-of re-quote, and the fare is locked when you book even if our rate sheet changes before your pickup.
