Built for the middle.

Fare 1 was started in late 2024 to fill a gap in the UK chauffeur market. The space was split between two extremes — budget local minicabs with metered surge pricing and unpredictable quality, and ultra-premium services priced for corporate expense accounts. Nothing served the middle: customers who wanted a premium experience but didn't want £400+ price tags for routine airport runs. Fare 1 was built around three principles — fixed pricing quoted upfront, vetted drivers in premium vehicles, and sensibly priced rates achievable through better systems and tighter operations. How we run.

1. 01

   Fixed pricing quoted upfront.

   Every fare is calculated before you book — using our published per-mile rate for your vehicle category multiplied by route distance, plus any fixed-fare overrides for popular routes. No meter. No day-of re-quote. No hidden fees. The price you see at quote is the price you pay.

2. 02

   Vetted drivers in premium vehicles.

   Every driver passes Enhanced DBS, DVLA endorsement review, council PHV licence verification, Group 2 medical, and annual re-checks. Every vehicle is MOT'd and comprehensively insured. The standard isn’t to clear the legal bar — it’s the bar plus annual re-verification of all of it.

3. 03

   Sensibly priced rates through tighter operations.

   The reason we can price below ultra-premium without dropping standards is that we built the dispatch, pricing, and verification systems ourselves. Less overhead means lower prices without margin compression. The customer sees the saving — not the spreadsheet.
