Driver language and customer communication

All Fare 1 drivers communicate in English. Some have additional language fluency on request.

Driver communication standard: English is the working language for all Fare 1 dispatches. Drivers competent in English to a standard supporting professional customer service.

Additional languages on request

A subset of our drivers are fluent in additional languages — Bengali, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Polish, French — often as a native language alongside English. For passengers who'd prefer a same-language driver:

  • Specify the preferred language on the booking note
  • We check available driver pool for the date / time
  • If a match is available, we assign; if not, we revert to standard English-speaking driver

This isn't guaranteed — we can't always match — but we try.

What drivers know to do

All Fare 1 drivers, regardless of language:

  • Confirm passenger identity politely at pickup
  • Confirm destination matches booking
  • Calibrate conversation to passenger preference (talk vs silence)
  • Speak clearly and not rapidly when conveying logistics
