How much luggage each Fare 1 vehicle category handles. Drives vehicle-choice decisions.
Per-category capacity
Standard saloon: 2 large suitcases + 1 medium + carry-ons. Boot ~410-450 litres typical.
Standard estate: 3 large + 2 medium + carry-ons. Boot ~510-600 litres.
Executive saloon: 2 large + 1 medium + carry-ons (similar to standard saloon).
Executive estate: 3 large + 2 medium (similar to standard estate; quieter cabin only differentiator on luggage side).
Standard MPV: 4-5 large with seats up; expandable with seats down.
Executive MPV (V-Class): Similar to standard MPV; underfloor compartments help.
Standard minibus: Group rack + boot for 8-16 passengers' bags.
Executive minibus: Similar to standard.
Accessible vehicle: Standard saloon-equivalent boot. Slightly reduced if wheelchair securement is in use.
Soft vs hard cases
Soft cases compress; hard cases don't. We typically rate vehicle capacity assuming hard cases for safety margin.
When to upsize
If your luggage count exceeds the category's rating by 1-2 cases, the boot won't close safely. Upsize a category rather than risk it.
