Photographer days — fashion, location-scout, editorial — involve unpredictable timing across multiple location shots. Hourly chauffeur with the photographer in the vehicle is the cleanest shape.
Common patterns
- Fashion shoot, country locations. 6-8 hours moving across 3-5 outdoor locations.
- Editorial / brand commercial. Driver waits while photographer + crew shoot, drives to next location.
- Location-scout day. Photographer visits 5-10 sites in a day to plan a future shoot.
Why hourly
Photographers don't know how long they'll spend at each location until the light is what they need. Per-mile + waiting time fees would create awkward conversations about when the clock starts. Hourly is flat regardless.
Driver brief
For photographer days the driver:
- Follows photographer's direction on route
- Helps load/unload equipment from boot
- Waits without comment while photographer works
- Keeps to schedule signals (when the photographer says "let's move", we move)
Vehicle category
Executive MPV (V-Class) common — boot for equipment, passenger comfort for the crew. For very light setups, Executive saloon works.
