Airport and cruise transfers in Andover.
Andover is on the A303, which means Heathrow is 57 miles and simpler than the distance suggests — and Southampton, thirty miles south, is further in time than it looks on the map.
From Andover
The journeys we make from here.
Distances and times below are measured on the same routing engine that prices your booking, in typical traffic. They are what we plan to, not a promise about the road on the day — and because the price is agreed before you travel, a slow run costs you nothing extra.

Local detail
What actually decides a Andover journey.
Heathrow from Andover is A303 to the M3 at junction 8, then the M3 to the M25 — 57 miles, about an hour and ten. It is one of the more predictable airport runs we make, because the A303 section rarely fails in the way an M27 section does.
Southampton Airport is 29 miles and the cruise terminals 28, mostly on the A3057 through the Test Valley or the A34 and M3. Neither is quick in the way the mileage implies; the Test Valley road is a good road and not a fast one.
Andover is outside the Southampton fixed-fare zone, so journeys are quoted on the published per-mile rate from your postcode. The quote is locked at the moment you book.
Where we pick up
SP10–SP11 and the villages around them.
- Andover town centre and the Chantry Centre
- Andover railway station
- Charlton, Enham Alamein and Picket Piece
- Weyhill, Thruxton and the A303 corridor
- Stockbridge and the upper Test Valley
Pickups outside these areas are quoted the same way — the per-mile rate for your vehicle multiplied by the route, shown before you book.
The docks
All five Southampton cruise terminals.
The terminals are not interchangeable. Ocean and QEII sit behind Dock Gate 4 on the eastern docks, Mayflower and City behind Dock Gate 10 to the west, and arriving at the wrong gate on a two-ship Saturday costs half an hour. We confirm the terminal from your booking reference rather than the ship’s name, and time the pickup against the check-in window printed on your boarding pass.
Frequently asked
Quick answers.
- Yes — Tidworth, Bulford, Larkhill and the SP11 villages out towards the plain. Garrison addresses need a gate and a block rather than just a postcode, so include those with the booking. Military ID checks at the gate can add a few minutes and we plan for them rather than being surprised.
- Andover is outside the Southampton SO14–SO53 fixed-fare zone, so journeys are quoted on our published per-mile rate from your postcode rather than from the fixed-fare route table. The quote is still locked at the moment you book.
- For an airport or cruise run, as soon as you have the flight number or the sailing. For a local journey same-day is usually fine, but we are a pre-booked fleet rather than a rank — there is no guarantee of a car in ten minutes at three in the morning, and we would rather say so than take the booking and disappoint you.
- We track the inbound flight from wherever it took off, so the pickup time moves with the aircraft rather than with the schedule you booked against. The first 60 minutes of waiting after landing is included — enough for a full-flight baggage reclaim — and you are not charged for a delay that is not yours.
- Yes. Airport drop-off charges, congestion and ULEZ where they apply are shown as their own lines on the booking form so you can see what is a fee and what is fare. Nothing is added after the journey: no meter, no day-of re-quote, and the fare is locked when you book even if our rate sheet changes before your pickup.
