Airport and cruise transfers in Lymington.

Lymington is the far south-west corner of our patch — the Isle of Wight ferry, the marinas, and a forty-minute drive to Southampton that the map says should take thirty.

From Lymington

The journeys we make from here.

Distances and times below are measured on the same routing engine that prices your booking, in typical traffic. They are what we plan to, not a promise about the road on the day — and because the price is agreed before you travel, a slow run costs you nothing extra.

Anywhere else in the UK is quoted the same way, on our published per-mile rate. Lymington also sits inside the Southampton SO14–SO53 zone, so the pre-set route prices are available from here.

Local detail

What actually decides a Lymington journey.

The Yarmouth ferry is the reason for a good share of the work here, and it is a timed check-in rather than a turn-up-and-go. We work back from the check-in close, not the sailing, and we would rather be at Lymington Pier early than explain a missed crossing.

Southampton's cruise terminals are 19 miles and the better part of an hour, mostly on the A337 through Brockenhurst and Lyndhurst — a Forest road with a 40mph limit and animals on it, which is why the time does not match the mileage. Heathrow is 84 miles, about an hour and three-quarters.

Lymington sits inside the Southampton SO14–SO53 zone, so the Southampton fixed fares are available on journeys from here. Book from the route page for your airport and the pre-set price travels with the link.

Where we pick up

SO41 and the villages around them.

  • Lymington High Street and the Quay
  • Lymington Town and Lymington Pier stations
  • Berthon and Lymington Yacht Haven marinas
  • Milford on Sea, Everton and Pennington
  • Sway, Boldre and the southern Forest villages

Pickups outside these areas are quoted the same way — the per-mile rate for your vehicle multiplied by the route, shown before you book.

The docks

All five Southampton cruise terminals.

The terminals are not interchangeable. Ocean and QEII sit behind Dock Gate 4 on the eastern docks, Mayflower and City behind Dock Gate 10 to the west, and arriving at the wrong gate on a two-ship Saturday costs half an hour. We confirm the terminal from your booking reference rather than the ship’s name, and time the pickup against the check-in window printed on your boarding pass.

Frequently asked

Quick answers.

  • Yes. Give us the crossing you are on and we time the pickup to the arrival — foot passengers are off well before the vehicle deck clears, so tell us which you are. If the crossing is delayed we hold the car rather than re-book you; waiting on a ferry arrival is part of the job, not an extra.
  • Lymington is inside the Southampton SO14–SO53 pickup zone, so the pre-set Southampton route prices are available on journeys from here. Open the route page for the airport you want and book from there — the fixed price travels with that link. Typing the addresses into the booking form by hand quotes the journey on the per-mile rate instead.
  • For an airport or cruise run, as soon as you have the flight number or the sailing. For a local journey same-day is usually fine, but we are a pre-booked fleet rather than a rank — there is no guarantee of a car in ten minutes at three in the morning, and we would rather say so than take the booking and disappoint you.
  • We track the inbound flight from wherever it took off, so the pickup time moves with the aircraft rather than with the schedule you booked against. The first 60 minutes of waiting after landing is included — enough for a full-flight baggage reclaim — and you are not charged for a delay that is not yours.
  • Yes. Airport drop-off charges, congestion and ULEZ where they apply are shown as their own lines on the booking form so you can see what is a fee and what is fare. Nothing is added after the journey: no meter, no day-of re-quote, and the fare is locked when you book even if our rate sheet changes before your pickup.
